The Sully Story
Sully Parking began with a simple thought: there has to be a better way.
On September 28, 2024, I went to the Alabama vs. Georgia football game in Tuscaloosa. I had already experienced the stress of event parking before, including an experience where my car was nearly towed. So that night, instead of driving and dealing with the traffic, overcrowded lots, and uncertainty of where I could safely leave my car, I decided to get dropped off.
Getting there was easy. Getting home was not.
After the game, thousands of people poured out of the stadium at once. Traffic was backed up, my phone battery was running low, and the ride I was expecting never made it to me. I was standing in the middle of all of that activity with no reliable way to get back home.
Eventually, I stopped waiting and started walking.
What should have been an eight-minute drive became a 51-minute walk across Tuscaloosa at night in a brand-new pair of cowboy boots. By the time I made it home, my feet were covered in blisters. But somewhere during that walk, my frustration turned into a question I couldn't shake:
Why does getting to your destination have to be this difficult?
Parking is usually treated as a small part of the trip. But when it goes wrong, it can affect everything that comes after it. Where you go. How long you stay. How safe you feel. How you get home. Whether you even decide to go in the first place.
That night, I realized the problem wasn't simply finding an empty parking space. It was the uncertainty surrounding the entire experience.
I started Sully Parking because I believed we could remove some of that uncertainty.
Sully is being built around a different parking experience, one where drivers can know where they're going before they leave, reserve their space in advance, arrive at a controlled location, and feel confident that their parking has already been taken care of.
What started as one frustrating walk home has grown into a much bigger vision for how people arrive, park, and move through the places they visit.
Because parking shouldn't be the part of your day you have to worry about.
